N2430F is a 1966 Cessna 180H and is equipped with the standard 230 hp Continental O-470R engine. She spent about half her life in Louisiana flying on floats before moving to Alaska in the late 80's. She has had a long list of improvements including a Sportsman STOL kit, Selkirk extended baggage, P-Ponk landing gear beef-up kit, MacCauley 88" Seaplane propeller, factory float kit, new communication radios, two GPS receivers, digital engine analyzer and fuel flow monitor. In 2008, the plane was completely stripped and re-painted, received new control surfaces and an new interior. We operate 30F on Landis 3600 penetration skis in the winter, Edo 2870's in the summer and wheels in between. My wife and I acquired 30F in February of 2007 and are the 4th owner. We fly her nearly every weekend to hundreds of amazing places throughout the great state of Alaska. 30F is truly the perfect SUV for Alaska.
